Not too long ago, the Shade Tree Saloon & Grill came into being. Nestled on the outskirts of the lovely Texas hill country, this diamond in the rough set out to be one of the best stops while driving or riding up 281 just north of San Antonio. True to that goal the Shade Tree has become one of the favorite stops for locals, vacationers, even shoppers of the hill country for a great meal, a cold beverage, a game or two of pool or shuffle board and even live music regularly.
